Friday, June 26th, 2009

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince – By J.K. Rowling – I have previously read this book , but I always like to reread the books right before the movies come out so I can compare them. I so enjoy all the Potter books. I regret I will be on vacation when the movie first comes out, and I will have to wait a few days to see it.

Wormwood – 9

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Wormwood – By G.P. Taylor – I have found that Taylor is slow to get my attention. I feel I have to read 3/4 of the book to really get into it. This book is about a book that is drawing a young girl to it so that the evil one can take over her body. I didn’t really care for it.

Shadowmancer – 8

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Shadowmancer by G.P. Taylor – This book started out kind of boring and hard to get into. As I kept reading I realized it was about a young boy that gets caught up in the fight between good and evil. It was an okay book, but it had a really deep meaning. God is in control and knows what Satan is up to.

The Pluto Project – 7

Monday, June 15th, 2009

The Pluto Project – by Melissa Glenn Haber – This book would have been a lot better had it not had so many ugly words in it. It was about a boy, Alan, who pretends that he and his friends have discovered a secret organization that is killing political leaders. All his friends decide he is kind of strange and Alan almost loses all his friends.

The Sin Eater – 6

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

The Sin Eater – By Gary D. Schmidt – This will make book six for the summer. This book is about a young boy, Cole, who goes to live with his mother’s parents with his dad after his mom passed away. He learns of this man that was known as the sin eater and doesn’t understand how someone can actually eat sin. The boy learns that all the sin eater really did was help people to get over their sin and love again. It was a different kind of book, but ok I guess.
