I loved this book because I can hear my grandaddy telling me the original story. This lady swallows a bell, some bows, some gifts, a sack, a sleigh, and some reindeer. It is a cute little book.

The whole town gets involved, but then they realize that their is no one to watch the show. All of the sudden they hear a sound and look out the curtains. Santa is there to watch their show. Santa is very impressed with the show from the South Pole. He says that both poles have something to be proud of.

He wants to be part of the race, but when he gets to the top he is kind of nervous about skiing down the hill. He lets another boy use his skis, but the boy ends up in a tree, and the penguin has to go rescue him from the tree. The penguin enjoys going down the hill with his new friend.

They get on their sleigh, and it takes them on a grand adventure where there is a place where snow people live. They meet a snow boy and a snow girl who are just like them. The four new friends play together and build a snowman. The kids realize they must go home. The snow kids let them take the snowman home. When they go inside to tell their mother of their adventure she doesn’t believe them.

The Snowman Band of Snowboggle Bend – By Cheryl Hawkinson – This is a story about a band no one knows about. They try every year to play at a big festival in town but are not accepted. This year they decide to go listen to the music anyway. On the way there is an avalanche, and the road is blocked. The mammoths come to clear the path but are upset and won’t move. The band sees everyone getting restless, so they decide to put on a concert right there. The music gets the mammoths moving to clear the path, but everyone is having such a good time that they stay. The grand master of the festival hears their music and asks them to fill in for the other bands that can’t make it to the festival. The Snowman Band is excited to get their music out for all to hear.
