Tiger Can’t Sleep – By S.J. Fore – This book is about a little boy who can’t go to sleep. There is a tiger in his closet eating chips, bouncing a ball, playing instruments, click clacking the lights. Once the tiger is quiet he then starts boo-hooing because he is afraid of the dark. The tiger asks to sleep in the bed with the boy and still keeps the boy awake in another way.

Officer Buckle and Gloria – Peggy Rathmann – This is a cute little book. Officer Buckle makes up a lot of safety rules. When he goes to the local school the students all go to sleep when he is speaking. The police department gets Officer Buckle a dog. Now when he goes to speak at schools the kids all pay attention. One day the news video tapes Officer Buckle and Gloria. Officer Buckle discovers that the kids are all watching Gloria and not really listening to him. When the school calls for his next speaking time Officer Buckle only sends Gloria. Gloria is lonely, and Officer Buckle is lonely too. Officer Buckle’s new safety tip is “To always stay with your partner.”
