Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes – 47

Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes By Eleanor Coerr – I like this book because it tells a story from the other perspective. A young girl remembers the Atom Bomb hitting her city Hiroshima, and the people dying. She starts having dizzy spells and has to go int he hospital for the doctors to run some test. She makes friends with Kenji while she is receiving treatment. Sadako is working on folding one thousand paper cranes because it is said that the gods will grant one wish to anyone who folds those cranes.

This book was good. At the end it was sad. The cranes that she made was hard to make, and it took me while to do it. I never figured it out.

  4. It was a sad book, but at the beginning it was awesome. I would not be able to sit and make one thousand paper cranes.
