Elijah of Buxton – 15

Elijah of Buxton – We read this as part of a study on Christopher Paul Curtis. Elijah of Buxton is about a young man who is not very strong. He goes after the “Preacher” who stole some money. Elijah meets some slaves and takes the baby to freedom with him in Buxton.

  2. Kendra Hall says:

    This book look awesome.

  3. This book is great so far. One of the characters in the book named Elijah, his last name is Freeman, also. Can’t wait to see the interesting things the book has for me on in the book.

  4. This book is good so far. Some times it makes me want to go to sleep. It isn’t the best book in the world, but it is okay. I would not recommend this book for younger kids who get uninterested fast. Some times your digging your nose in it and some times you want a pillow and a blanket. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This book is cool. I don’t understand why the book mentioned hoop snakes at the beginning, but it doesn’t mention them anymore. Do you know why? Please let me know why if you know why tomorrow. I have to go bye!

I’m loving this book so far. I can’t wait to finish it.

  7. Such a coincidence how Asberri’s and Elijah’s last name are spelled the same.

  8. I loved this book. It was very interesting. Can we read some more books by that author please?
